Church parish boundaries can be odd. All of ours over here are changing at the start of February  – so I’m not sure how that will affect us yet. We live in Malew parish, but getting married at my church in santon parish. However in feb the two parishes are joining to become the parish of Malew and Santon. Eurgh. So I feel for you! Confusion abounds!

the best thing I can suggest is to find a reliable up to date boundary map, and talk to the clerks of each parish to try and work out where you fall. If you are indeed slap bang on a boundary (entirely possible if the boundary was in place before your house was built) then I’m afraid you will be stuck paying the two banns.
