The one part of my wedding I have always dreamed of is getting married in the church my maternal grandparents and my parents were married, and my aunt, sister and I were christened. It is an Anglican church, and I was wondering how much they usually cost? I am posting this in the Australia board so I get Australian prices 🙂

Wow Novella yours are really expensive… I’m getting married in a country Anglican church and the cost is $500… Plus $44 for the pre marital counselling our priest wants us to do.
I’m in the Wangaratta diocese of Victoria, you’re welcome to PM if you have any questions 🙂 we’ve had a really good experience with our church so far.

@miss.alice.m: It’s because of where we live and also that they are heritage churches. I have expensive taste 🙂 One of the other local Catholic Churches asks for $600 but the others have more meaning for me because of factors like @Jacqui90: mentioned in her original post.

- Wedding: June 2011 - Sydney, Australia
@Jacqui90: I’m a little late, but we picked an old sandstone church in Sydney and it cost us $600. You then ususally give your priest a donation, too.

- Wedding: July 2012 - Parkwood International Golf Course
I’m getting married at a catholic church on the Gold Coast.
It cost us $500. If we lived closer to the church or were parishioners it would have only cost $300.
