Wow! That's a lovely church!
The trick to decorating the ceremony on a budget it to put all your money into dressing up the focal point- that means the altar where you and your FI will be taking your vows.
The first thing that comes to mind is flowers. If you just get a few vases of flower to put on the altar, that would really pop out against the dark wood. It could be potted flowers (like the lilies that are there) or cut flowers. If you want to splurge, you could get an arrangement or a wreath. (A trick if you go for an arrangement- don't tell the florist it's for a wedding- that automatically ups the price.) I don't know what your colors are, but I think something like these would look awesome against that wood:

Also- what about choosing a cloth for the altar? Perhaps something that matches your colors (assuming that pastor is OK with that).
Also- an aisle runner in a light color will really brighten up that space.
Thank you. I think the church is lovely as well. It's just tough to choose between the church and the beach. I've been envisioning a beach wedding for a long time. I even bought a dress with intricate beadwork and crystals to really catch the sun for my outdoor wedding. However, my dress is more formal and has quite a train on it, which, according to most bridal sites, is not appropriate for a beach wedding. So I am stuck at a crossroads. What would you do? We've already reserved the church in case of rain, but I don't know which I'd prefer more. I am the most indecisive person you will ever meet, by the way
This is Oval Beach...it's gorgeous!

I just met with our officiant at his church today, and I fell in love with it. I was originally planning to have our ceremony on the beach and use the church as a backup site in case of bad weather. Now I am beginning to change my mind. The church is quaint with hard wood floors and stained glass windows. Is there a relatively inexpensive way to decorate the church for the wedding? Thanks!
