That is a nice looking church. I would do something simple and balanced on both sides in front of the lecterns. I also think either a colored aisle runner or a sash down both sides of the pews would look lovely. I would really like to see something decorating that balcony, either sashes (I'm thinking a nicer version of streamers) or tulle....
I would not go too big, which is also your instinct. Instead I would focus on incorporating a single cohesive color, in the runner, in sashes or tulle, in the displays in front. Really busy flowers might be too much. A display of varying height column candals in hurrican glasses could be lovely up front. Or simple monochromatic arrangements. I don't think you will need the big $300 arrangements, though.
this is my inspirations... well, for the aisle at least since that is my newest wedding-related obsession
@Mattel That is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I was able to use flower petals and an isle runner, but I love the tulle with the flowers. Hmmm
They won't let you use either? You could still get the effect of the draped fabric. I am going to do it, but I think I'm going to use hanging pomanders instead of the flowers on the top of the pews.

Here are some photos of the church I am going to get married in. It is so beautiful in it's simplicity so I don't want to overwhelm it. Any suggestion?
