@Lepidoptera:  It is easier to respond if you tell us something about your wedding.

Have yoou already decided on centerpieces? Some ideas are budget friendly because they can be re-used at the reception.

Paper cones would work. Make them from old books, sheet music, vintage handkerchiefs or doilies.

Sheet Music Paper Cone with Vintage Hymnal by MariasFarmhouse, $25.00 - set of 10. Perfect for wedding, anniversary, showers, church pews for wedding decor

Paper hearts

@Kristen I love these! The maps and whole feel of them made me think of you & your wedding. Soooo many ways these could be used as decoration -- I was thinking pew hangers at the church?

pictures of your parents’, grandparents’, siblings’ weddings in a vintage or baroque frame would be interesting and not expensive

you could make circles with doilies like this only use all white or ivory including the center flower

teacups hanging from a broad ribbon

I’ve never seen this done as pew decor, but I’m having a similar feel to my wedding as you and think a big fabric flower with pearls in the center on the ends of the pews, something like this flower would be super cute:

Not sure how much it would cost or how you would do it, but just a thought and it’s different – I’ve never seen it done.  Whatever you do, please do not do the tulle bows!!!

I was going to do these but it turned out the pews at my church wouldn’t work well with anything hanging on them. Plus it looked gorgeous without anything.

you can do it with pretty much any color you want.

here is the original the blogger based hers on

I found this on Pinterest the other day that seems cost effective. I’m actually considering doing it myself

Haha thanks!! That’s exactly where I got iT from

I’m not using flowers either. I will probably substitute the flowers w baby’s breath(not sure if they are considered flowers) but they are cheaper then flowers. It will add a romantic touch.

@Lepidoptera:  I got the idea from Pinterest.  Rose petals would be nice. Are you planning on adding vases like in the picture?  I’m asking because I find that vases on the ground are kind of awkward and looks busy with the rose petals and isle runner (this is just my opinion)

something to think about: I am getting married in a Catholic church and I’m debating whether to even have church decor.  The church will already have flowers set up and it’s beautiful enough not to have the extra decor. I have been to a dozen weddings and I honestly can’t remember a single one church/ceremony decor

I’m getting married in the evening, so I’m planning on renting candle holders similar to the ones pictured above.  I’m just going to put some ribbon at the top and done-zo!

@OnceUponATime:  Glad I could help! I’m kind of sad I didn’t end up making any. Maybe I’ll find another excuse to make some 🙂

PS You’re SO going to have to post a pic when/if you do them 🙂
