- Wedding: September 2008
We booked our church over a year ago, and with 9 months left until the big day, we find out the ceremony was penciled in for 1pm and not 10:30 am like we requested.
We spoke to the deacon and they said they can’t marry us in the morning because the morning is reserved for funerals and no exceptions. Now that we are 9 months away from the wedding, we need to find another Catholic church. Problem is that most churches won’t marry non-parishoners and also require a year in advance notice.
We even tried to reschedule our wedding date, and no luck (not to mention the huge loss of money we already invested for our photographer, dj, etc.) We have to get married in a catholic church. Anyone else come across this problem? Does anyone know of any churches in central NJ that allow this?
