We started to plan very late and not knowing much about the whole wedding planning thing I had no idea how far in advance you should contact your church. As the church that I was baptised and confirmed in was all booked up, the next church in mind was a small old church next to the primary school I went.
When we called we were informed that the church is being restored but everyone including the priest would constantly reassure me that it will be completed in time. It is now a little over a month before the wedding and scaffolding is still up outside (and inside), there are no tiles, there is no paint and everything still looks very far from finishing. Should I be worried and talk to the priest about changing the venue (that is if there is any possibility I find a church available in this short amount of time), or should I just forget about it and go ahead with the ceremony as is...
