@aheavel: hmmmm, are you a murderer? I guess if you were you wouldn't say.....HA. Im kidding. I think my SO would kill me if I went with someone I dont know.......but I REALLY wanna go (not by myself)........... :(
@Aubergold: Have no fear! I drove cross country all alone and I am still alive to tell. You have a short distance to Church Street Bridal and you would certainly regret not going! They have so many unbelievable designers, priced to knock your socks off! I bought two dresses from them and all of the staff is incredibly sweet. They do ship, if you know what you want. ;)
@Aubergold: What if you go with someone you've met at a meetup before? Have you been to any of our meetups? :D
@Aubergold: You could always have someone with your bridal party come as well and just follow me. Actually, when it's all said and done I may have a carload myself. I am surprised at how many people actually want to make the trip with me (MOH, bridesmaid, sister, flower girl, and mother of the flower girl have all expressed interest so far).
Thanks guys; great ideas. I haven't been to a meet up but I will def see if I can get someone to go with me. Is/was anyone scare they would not like any of the dresses?
@Aubergold: Heck, no!! Check the blog and you will not hesitate. Amazing dresses. I bought a Pnina Tornai and Vanitas sight unseen from CSB out of state and never had one regret. Trust me, you will find something you love. Samples from Kleinfeld at an unspeakable price all going to a generous cause. If you don't find something during this visit, at least you will know the ladies and the quality and might be able to just call up and order when the perfect dress does arrive!
Hi Everyone:
I got my dress from CSB today - had it shipped to Ohio! It arrived in less than a week and it's perfect! It's Estee by Pattis. I paid $400 for it, and it's in perfect condition - no tears or repairs - just a little dirt on the hem which will be cut off in alterations. I also took it right away to my alterations person to make sure it could be altered from a size 10 to a size 2/4, and it's possible and only $100 for that change! Since it doesn't have lace and has side seams, it's an easy fix. I had such a great experience with CSB!! I got my dream dress for a fraction of the price (originally priced at $1600).
Of course, i stupidly didn't take pictures of me in the dress before I took it to alterations but I will post them in a few weeks when the dress gets back! Here's the dress from the shop and the designers website:

@frenchie44: So awesome that it was in such great condition and especially for that price!! Nice! It is gorgeous. Can't wait to see it on ya! Thanks for sharing. :)
@Aubergold: I am terrified I won't like any of the dresses, especially because I already have a dress picked out that I have already tried on and love and was planning on ordering it next month. BUT, even if I hate every dress I am sure I will have a great time with whoever drives down with me and it will just be another memory :)
Don't forget to stop at the J. Crew headquarters! :)
I feel like a broken record, but it really IS worth two extra stops. The two J. Crew stores are 10-15 minutes from Church Street. They are 5 minutes away from each other. Better than any J. Crew outlet. :)
Oh, and my other concern is I won't find a dress that I like but, the quality of the fabric will be so amazing that I will think the other dress I plan on buying is cheap. Can you tell I overthink everything? LOL!
@viv81: So pretty, Viv. You look amazing!
@Ocean: Congrats!! Did they tell you when it might ship? Looking forward to seeing you in your dress. Hope you will post again. :)

Can you believe this and what an amazing cause!?! So grateful that I heard of them when I did and could contribute not only once, but twice to find my perfect dress! Thanks, CSB! You ladies are the best! :)
@boombacha: UM --- WOW!!! That looks like they had you in mind when they made that dress. With a bridal cap - freaking stunning! I can't wait to see it all together.
@tksjewelry: So sweet. Thank you for all of your suggestions along the way. I really appreciate it. I can't wait to actually try on a few veils at a boutique and take some better pics!! These janky phone pics in a tiny closet mirror are not doing this beauty justice at all. :)
I just bought mine yesterday but, I am already 2nd guessing it. I am going to see if Alfred Angelo's will fit me in today to try on the dress I was originally going to get so, there may be a poll from me later today :)

@boombacha: I don't know you personally but that dress looks like it was made for you! Not just in fit but, the style of the dress too. Definitely your perfect match :)
@aheavel: Oh, lovely. Who is the designer of the dress you bought at CS? The Pnina is so sweet in its simplicity, but that low "v" definitely would not have settled well with my fiance or my dad! :) Thank you for the truly kind words. I love her and am sorry that it took two previous dresses to get to her, but so thankful I never settled! You should post a pic of the other you like for comparison.
@boombacha: The designer is a Kleinfeld exclusive - Sophia Moncelli, never heard of her before
I LOVE you ladies...can I just say that after reading about someone trash talking us on another board, this thread lifted my spirits. I can't wait to see more of you on here and even at our sale on 9/10!!
@mduncanywca: Someone was trashing you!?!?!?!?!?!? WHAAAA?!?!?!?!?! No, no, no! You're bridal store is just AWESOME!!!! (Admittedly, I was pretty much ignored upstairs, but when I was downstairs, service was freaking awesome! But, not a big deal in my opinion, especially since it's a small store and there was a girl trying on a gown, anway. :) )
I won't be able to make it to the 9/10 sale :( But, not a big deal, since we'll be coming after the new year! YAY!!!!!! Can't wait!!!!
AND, I promise to send a photo of the evening gown after it's been altered! PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE!!!!!!
@mduncanywca: You will get nothin' but LOVE from this post, I guarantee it, Michelle!! Well, at least I, personally, would not have had the possibility at my dream dress without you!! You have heard my thanks and you will hear them again...thank you, thank you, thank you all! <3
I got my dress from Church Street Bridal. Will post pictures in 2 weeks after the wedding
OKAY! I am SOOO down to go down there! But I hate driving long distances and I kinda want it to be a surprise so I cant get my FI to drive down! If anyone else is willing to drive down from the DC/MD/VA area PLZZZ PM me! I'll go in a hurrry!
@Aubergold: I promise I'm not a killer, lolll! I'll ride down with you! I so wanna go, lol!

Can't wait until your wedding days, ladies...
I wanna see pics of the dresses you chose!! :) I know Jeannine says a page will go up in honor of Church Street Brides, but I would love to see some of my favorites again and if possible, on their happy brides. I am posting a pic of my gorgeous dress and will post another as soon as I slip her on later this week or early next (very eagerly awaiting shipment). If you're like me, and follow the thread and blog daily, you want to see which lucky dresses found their lucky brides. Thanks, bees, and enjoy!!
