It's not in Pasadena, but it's in Arcadia which is the city right next door. Check out Holy Angels Catholic Church located at 370 Campus Dr., Arcadia. My friend is getting married there in August.
Check out the Unitarian church in Pasadena -- it's at 301 N Orange Grove. They have two chapels, and the one in back is the right size. Both buildings are gorgeous Craftsman style architecture.
There is a methodist church on Colorado near old town. Gothic style. And near there (almost across the street) is also another church, i think it's part of Fuller Seminary, more modern looking which is also on Colorado. I think there's also a Presbyterian church on FairOaks? It's a big white church across the street from a park, but the church does not look too deep, just high ceilings. There are a lot of churches in Pasadena, you just have to drive around the main roads and write them down... that's what i did haha. Oh and one more church.. i think its called Hollisten Church in Pasadena... dont' know the exact location (google it), and its a smaller church, with stain glass windows and not Catholic. Hope that helps!
you could also check out san marino community presbyterian. it's on the large side for 80 still, but it has an intimate feel despite its gothic architecture (ceilings aren't quite as high, finishes are a bit wamer). maybe also try sierra madre congregational church. westminster presbyterian is beautiful (they filmed the big wedding in wedding crashers there), but it's HUGE. my mom's second marriage/wedding was there, and even a guest list of 500 wasn't quite enough, unfortunately.
Help! My FI and I are looking for a church in pasadena or south pasadena.
It's really hard to find a church that is not too big for an 80 person wedding. I found the PERFECT church, but it's so big.
Or, many of the churches in South Pasadena are Catholic so they are very strict about ceremonial rites.
Do you have any suggestions?
