Hey Hi! I'm in Cincinnati too.... but I'm not "officially" engaged yet, but shooting for Oct 2012... So nice to see a few people from Cincinnati... Been lurking on this site for quite a while now just trying to get ideas... Figured I'd come out of the shadows to say hi and omg the newport aquarium!?! I never thought about that place... If you don't mind me asking, how expensive is that place? I have been searching and searching for a unique and cheap place and haven't really found anything... Trying to have a very low budget... Anyways just wanted to say hi :)
Cincinnati/ Colerain Bride here!! I am actually getting married in Middletown. Which is by the Flea market. At our church, then reception at a big hall at a Catholic church in Trenton. Rainbow theme. (not OVERLY rainbow) DIY wedding. 5k budget. Subway is catering, doing my own bar, local photographer, having my dress made, Cupcakes with a two tier cake, September 15th 2012. I also think we should all meet up!!! :)
@boogirl666: Hi! The Aquarium has a couple different options for venue rentals, ranging from their Riverside Room (which we're using) to entire Aquarium rental. This link should show you all their pricing: http://www.newportaquarium.com/facilityrental.aspx
We opted for a daytime wedding (11-4) because it was ridiculously less expensive. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions. :)

And PS - go you for doing a wedding on a 5k budget! I'm jealous!
@futuremrswifey: I've actually started buying things now and I know ALOT of people. HAHA. West Chester is a nice area! I couldn't afford to live there of course. Yes I think we should plan the get together. Dave and busters sounds fun!
@hthesken: Gosh, I moved out of West Chester when I graduated high school and haven't been back since (well, except to visit Ikea where most of my reception staples are coming from!)
I also haven't been to D&B in ages! I live in NKY and work in OTR so I never get that far north, except for when I'm working a wedding. :)
@futuremrswifey: Holy crap... I totally understand why you picked the day time LOL *sigh* the JOP is starting to look better and better LOL
@boogirl666: If it makes you feel any better, since my SO and I are a same-sex couple, we can't legally be married in the state of KY soooo essentialy we are throwing a 20k party. Chat up @hthesken - she is doing a budget friendly wedding too! There are lots of solutions. :)

@bearcatsweetie: I shot a wedding at the Nathanael Green Lodge last year! It was beautiful!
Other Cincy venues I love are the Hughes Center in Franklin Township and the 20th Century Theater (though it's pretty dark inside). I'm actually down there pretty often. Please let me know if you're having a meet up! I never get to see any weddingbee girls up here except for Corgitales. :)
