Not sure if it is the same in NYC BUT….

We went to the city clerk who actually gave us a list of officiants and it turned out that she is also a Justice of the Peace who charges only $100.  Also ask around, maybe some of your friends/family members know someone – we are actually have a 15min ceremony in which a local Reverend will be performing the ceremony (a bunch of friends have used him).

Hi Gerbera!

We are having Rev. Jim Covington officiate at our ceremony – we are not religious either, but he can do non-denominational/non-religious ceremonies.  When we contacted him last year, his basic rate was $425.  Not sure if it’s increased since then, but I don’t anticipate it would have increased by much.

Good luck!

We met with Kelly Lemons and really liked her (although we decided to go with someone else) and she was under $500.  She also seemed pretty flexible.

I’m not in NYC and I’m not planning a NYC wedding but I am planning a Dallas wedding from California. Since I can’t fly home to do wedding research I had my mom do the research on JP’s for me. Do you have anyone that could look/ask for you?
