So lately i’ve decided that i should get out of my beauty slump i’ve been in (hair in a bun and little to no makeup for work) and start putting myself together a bit more and actually start a skin regimen. Today i chopped of TEN inches of my hair to donate to Locks of Love and even just the shorter hair makes me look a little more polished.
Anywho…i am SUPER excited because i finally ordered a Clarisonic Mia (despite feeling guilty for the price tag) and i’ve been stalking the tracking status for a few days now. It still isn’t arriving until thursday.
I’ve tried googling before & after photos to see how the clarisonic worked on “real” people that used and i’m willing to bet there are quite a few bees who love this product & can show some examples of what this product has done for them. I will be sure to post a before and after photo once i get mine!

I dont have any photos but I wouldnt go without my clarisonic. You are going to LOVE it. If you have some junk in your skin like I did, you will be amazed at the stuff that comes out. I actually used a clay mask once a week with it to help draw out the stuff. You will notice how much cleaner your face feels after one use. Your skin may go through a purging period, so dont panic if you get some breakouts. Also I tend to get little tiny bumps under the skin when I need to change my brush head. So you will need to keep an eye on that. After using the clarisonic my products can get more deeply into the skin and my makeup goes on much smoother. I went to a dermatologist to get a mole check and she asked me how I had such a polished look to my skin! That was the ultimate complement for me.

My skin wasn’t bad before but it is definitely better with the Clarisonic… More even/smoother texture and less oily. Can’t really tell in pictures but irl you can!

I also love my Clarisonic. I really need to start using it again, I’ve been slacking! To be honest, there are time I just love using it with water and my skin feels amazing and clean! You can use any cleanser with it – just try to steer clear of scrubs. They can irritate your face.
You’re gonna love it!!

thanks for your input ladies! my skin is pretty normal & fairly clear of acne for the most part but i’ve noticed that my face has been looking really dull lately and i have those tiny bumps on my chin that people always talk about. I’ve also started using coconut oil as a moisturizer and that alone has made my face a lot smoother. i’m hoping the combo with the clarisonic will actually get me some skin compliments in real life! haha : )

@beelovely: I feel like I could have written your post! I have been in a miserable slump, just dressing low-key, my hair was like straw (I hadn’t cut it in 6 years), my makeup was minimal and when I put it on, it was sloppy. Something about cutting the dead ends off of the hair is really refreshing! I too cut 10 inches and it prompted me to go out and buy new makeup and a few new outfits to perk me up. It made a world of difference! And just in time too, our engagement pictures are going to be taken the first week of April.
Anyway, back to your question, in early February, a friend of mine sent me a bunch of skin care products and made me promise to use them (she’s a med student working in a derm office so I get some free samples now and again). I had a Clarisonic before, but I had packed it up because I wasn’t that impressed with it the first time around. Well, I started using it again and it’s been about a month now. The quality of my skin is improved, although I think my pores are still trying to work it out, so I’m still breaking out a bit. I do think it helps, but I don’t see any visble improvement. My skin still looks like my skin.
Either way, good luck!! And let us all know how it works for you!

My skin is so sensitive that I don’t use mine much anymore 🙁 my advice is definitely to START SLOW. It’s very tempting to start using it twice a day, every day, and it feels so good, you might want to reset the timer… But don’t! I think you can avoid a lot of the “purge” by working your way up gradually. Good luck!

I love using my Mia!! I just bought a new brush head and I am excited about using it again. Lol. Forgot how soft new brushes are. You’re going to love it, I can definately tell the difference from before and after.

@beelovely: I don’t have any pics. But I’ve had my Clarisonic Mia 2 for about 6 months and love it! I use the sensitive brush heads.
I had a consultation at a dermatologists office and the aesthetician said, ‘wow, you have the cleanest skin I have ever seen!’ She kept rubbing my face with cleanser trying to find a place that had any traces of makeup or mositurizer. I told her I use a Clarisonic, she said, ‘amazing!’

I think I must be the exception, because I never noticed a change in my skin. I almost never use mine anymore.

I love my Mia too. They come in such pretty new colours now. I don’t think the difference in my skin pre and post Clarisonic would be evident in photos, but my skin is much softer and cleaner and dewier. I have a lot less dry patches, and I break out less. I wear a lot of makeup for work, and I usually use it in the morning when my skin is clean. It does make a difference and I love not having to bother to exfoliants anymore.

@HorseDoc: Same here. I’ve had it for a few years. I used it really consistently for the first 6 – 8 months that I got it, and to be honest, I just didn’t notice an appreciable difference. I think I moved or it got stuck in a drawer when it needed to be charged and I just wasn’t in a rush to get it back out.
I recently did get it back out and charged and am using it again, in preparation for the wedding – and again, I don’t feel like it is really doing that much for my skin. It’s okay, it’s not like it is bad, but I’m not convinced it is worth the money.
I have good skin though, no real problems. Oh, the one thing I will say – I had some sun damage on my chest from nearly 15 years ago. I did feel like it helped smooth out any roughness in that area. I like using it on my neck & upper chest.

I, too, have sensitive skin and had to stop using mine. It actually made my skin worse because it was overexfoliating and forcing my skin to keep the dead skin cells to protect itself. It made my acne worse, too.

look what came in the mail a day earlier then expected!
I can’t wait to start using it but first it needs to charge for a full 24 hours. Thanks for sharing all of your experiences with it! I just took some “before” photos to see if theres any visible difference after ive been using it for a few months. my skin is not sensitive at all so i’m hoping it works out fabulously! i’ll post an update with photos once i’ve used to for a little bit. I can’t wait to try it out tomorrow!
