I’d let this one go.

leave it, it’s probably just one payout per wevibe anyway, so unless you want to split your payout…

I get that you don’t want to be weird and step on any toes by messaging him about a vibrator. But I mean, I would want to know if money was involved. I’m a little shocked by all the responses. There should be a mature way to bring this up and tell him you don’t expect a response, but you are giving him a heads up. Depending on his financial situation, 500 dollars may be a lot to him. Or helpful in some way. Granted, it’s not guaranteed. But I think you should do to him what you’d want him to do to you. Would you want him to let you know you could possibly receive a small (or large) settlement? I would.

cik2017 :  does he actually deserve half, though?  The information pertained to a vibrator in her body, and presumably she purchased it since it was registered in her name..

amanda1988 :  It’s not about splitting her payout. It’s about him adding his name to the class action, and claiming his own $500 individually. (And normally I would tell him, but it’s hard to see how to bring this up when it’s a sex toy and an ex).

aussiemum1248 :  I guess my only frame of reference is a class action lawsuit I was once invited to join–they required receipt(s) to prove that I deserved some payout, if I could provide one.  (I had thrown the receipt away so it went no further, thus ending the extent of my experience with class action lawsuits.)

cik2017 :  I have to agree with this, if he could be entitled to money you should contact him, “hi sorry to bother you after all these years, have you seen this article (links)

it may be relevant for you in regards to a payout. Take care “
