My brother is torn over what he should purchase for his girlfriend’s engagement ring so I told him I would take a quick poll on here to help him out. She really likes the pave setting but he thinks he should get a 6 prong classic. She thinks she is getting a 1.25 to 1.5ct solitare but he is getting her a 2.75ct round cut brilliant. She is a ring size 5 and the diamond is going to take up a large part of her finger and she is going to pair it with an eterntity pave wedding band.
Your votes, thoughts and suggestions are appreciated!
Below are to examples of the pave and classic.

I like solitaires better, especially with a stone that large.

This is my 2.01 ct. I have a size 8 finger, and I get comments of how big it is all the time. 2.75 on a size 5 is going to be BEAUTIFUL and such a statement ring. That’s why I love larger solitaires. They’re simple but grab a lot of attention. Pave is nice too, but solitaires are timeless and your options for bands are endless. Best of luck to your brother! 🙂

She loves the pave setting – so I’d suggest that, and it is beautiful!!
