BUT...I'm not a fan of the price and haven't found a "normal" caketopper I can stomach. My fiance is a Marine and he wants the cake topper to display a Marine and bride and frankly...all the Marine caketoppers are too cheesy for me. So...I thought I'd make my OWN personalized clay caketopper! Only problem is...I tried last night and the clay I got completely sucked. It was an air-drying clay as oppose to an oven-bake clay. Can anyone help me out and give me any suggestions on good clay for figure sculpting? Preferably that can be painted on as well.
I found a seller on Esty that sells personalized clay cake toppers. The seller is lynnslittlecreations. Her prices are really reasonable and start at $45.
I've been looking at cake toppers and really love the clay personalized figures such as these:

posted by Kimbeerlee 99 posts 3 months agoTry Sculpey. It's the best!!! You can get super sculpey, which is kind of skin colored, sculpt, bake and paint!
Or, there are tons of other colors to choose from if you would rather not paint them afterwords.
It is also pretty lightweight, which is great for a cake topper!
Good Luck!
