Just did it while DH was having a nap.

I like the idea of starting the new year with a fresh slate.

When are you cleaning up Christmas?

We've cleaned up most of the mess, but probably won't take the tree and lights down until later next week.  Our stair railing looks so beautiful with the lights and garland going up it and we've actually been leaving it on at night.  It serves as a night light and I know I'll miss the twinkling of the lights!

I put all the Christmas stuff away earlier this week and everyhting found its rightfull home. Once Christmas is over I like to get things put away so all of my new things can find a home. If we were having people over this weekend I would have left the decorations up.

After the New Year.  I enjoy seeing my Christmas tree still lit up at night.

After the New Year as well. I like my Christmas tree so much that I don't want to take it down just yet. It just makes me smile walking by it.

DH took down our tree yesterday.. I was a little sad. My family used to leave everything up until epiphany (Jan. 6th), but he wanted to start the new year with a clean and organized living room :)

We will probably take ours down on Monday.  We were late putting ours up this year, so I want to get a little extra time out of all of our hard work!

We'll probably take the tree down sometime next week. It's too darn pretty to get rid of, plus we moved the bookcases that were in that corner and I like where we put them, so somehow we have to figure out how to fill the space.

We're going to take down the tree and put away some of the decorations, but the overwhelming majority of what we have is snowmen stuff (FI is obsessed with snowmen) so that will stay up all winter. And I think we might leave our wreath up, too, it's nice and bright and doesn't look too Christmassy.

I usually get so sad when we have to put Christmas decorations away, but not this year. I just got the last of the Christmas stuff packed up at my office and this weekend I'm tackling it at home. I want to be able to walk around my apartment again, lol, so that tree is coming down!

Cleaned it up this evening. We didnt put up a tree since we were not home but I had to get the other decorations down. He needs to take the lights down this weekend or we will become those people...

I would be taking it all down today but we're out of town until Thursday! I'm already looking forward to getting home and taking it down.

I normally take vacation time between Christmas and new years and end up taking the stuff down then, but this year I worked so I probably won't take it down until next weekend.

I packed up all the Christmas things on Dec 27th!  Our wedding is now 2 weeks away and I needed the corner of the lounge where the Christmas Tree was to put all my weddings things in.  They were in our spare room but my best friend is flying in from Australia in a few days with her toddler to stay so I cleaned the spare room out for them.

I thought because I was doing the tree I may as well do the rest of the Christmas stuff!

Usually I will pack it up before New Years, but not that early.

Probably tomorrow. I usually wait till a little later but we are moving and we're getting packed up on the 4th. Plus I need a treeless picture of the living room for the listing since we're selling the house.

I took mine down today. Was a little sad but it's nice to have the house cleaned up for the new year. Not to mention space in our living room once again.

We didn't decorate a lot since we celebrated at his family's house six hours from us, but I cleaned it all up the day after Christmas since we got home earlier than expected, and I still had some time before I had to go to work.

Part of it was last Monday when we got back from my parents while I was packing up for my next trip. The rest was yesterday and today. We cleaned the whole apartment. It hasn't looked this good since we moved in. Even moved all the furniture in the bedroom so we can put up my wall map this week.
