Today my big project is cleaning my hardwood floors.

What is your favorite method to clean your floors and what thing are you going to do to clean up your nest today? :)

Steam cleaning! We have a steam mop that is made to work well on hardwood. I adore it! Besides that, I get down on my hands and knees with Murphy's once in awhile.

Today, I'll be starting the sorting/packing process. We thought we'd have extra time, but turns out we're most likely subletting our room June 1st, so we have to get hurrying!

The swiffer system. They now have a mom and spray specifically for hardwood floors. They collaborated with mop and glo. They have a spray that you can use for everyday cleaning and one to give the floors a nice shine. The only downside is having to make sure my daughter or the dog doesn't step ont he floors until they are completely dry.

My parents have hardwood and she was wanting a shark steammop.  I decided to get her one for her birthday, except I researched the reviews on Amazon and ended up getting the eureka steammop.  Cheaper and better reviews.  She hasn't used it yet, so no first hand report.

I vaccuum then mop with a Swiffer Wet-Jet, then use Quick Shine. I swear, the stuff is unbelievable- makes the floors look like they were just refinished, and you can get it at Walgreens :)

swiffer is always a good idea. i have laminate but my parents have hardwood and they used a corn husk broom to sweep up, then a mop with HOT water and dishsoap and then murphy's oil and soap spray with a dry mop gets it to shine very nice...

How dirty are they? For just maintenance I use swiffer too (well, I use a generic version, but still).

When my floors get really dirty, I use a damp mop with hardwood floor cleaner from the hardware store. Or sometimes I just spot clean it with good ol' organic Meyers all purpose & then dry it immediately.

I can't wait for the 3-day weekend. I'm totally Spring Cleaning the whole place!
