Vaccum and mop

This is a great question!  My bathroom at my mom’s had a baseboard made of tile, but my bathroom in our house now has wood trim as a baseboard.  There is some next to the shower that got really wet after one of my husband’s enthusiastic showers and it kind of expanded.  I would not pour water directly onto the floor.  They do this where my husband grew up as well because of the drain in the floor.

I would fill the tub or a bucket with detergent and water and stick your mop in there, wring it out, and mop with just a damp mop.  The less moisture you put near the wood, the better.

ETA: I very rarely mop the floor in there.  More often I use a swiffer to remove dust and hair from the floor and then just wipe around the toilet with cleaner and paper towels.
