I did do a closet clean, I started thinking about what would be uncomfortable as a mom, what items will work best for breast feeding and caring for a baby... I also got rid of stuff that I had in high school that maybe look too "teen-ish" and now that I'm going to be a mom, I didn't see as appropriate (think mini skirts lol!! or just younger styles).
I did end up boxing up a lot of clothes once I was in my second trimester because it became depressing to me that I couldn't wear them. They're stored in my garage right now and I'll take them back probably 6-8 weeks post partum lol
I took the opportunity to get rid of things that I had been holding onto for "one more season" that had seen better days or were verging on too "young" now that I'm in my 30s. Beyond that, I'm waiting until after the baby and I lose the baby weight to do another purge. I'm hopeful I'll get back into my favorites.
I also try on all my pre-baby clothes each week to see what I can still wear (at 25 1/2 weeks, not much anymore) and what needs to be boxed up. That way, DH can see how limited my wardrobe truly is now!
I'm hoping to still maintain my style even as a Mom :) I did decide to get rid of some things that I hadn't worn in a while. I think it's just part of nesting maybe for me at this point.
I pruged and got rid of things that didn't even fit me pre-preg and stuff I hadn't worn in a while, but I kept all of my normal wardrobe. It currently lives in a box.
This might sound silly but I LOVE my wardrobe. It's wonderful and I put a lot of thought into everything I buy and have some awesome pieces that I can't bear to think would never fit again. Honestly, some stuff I will hang on to just because . . . I can't not have it. That sounds so psycho but I love my clothes and I hope someday, if I have a girl, she'll be glad I didn't throw out a DVF dress or a Michael Kors blazer just because I felt fat for a while.
I put most of my pre-pregnancy clothes into space bags. The only ones that I kept out were things that I was still wearing (stretchy tank tops, cardigans, etc). Honestly, I have lost weight with this pregnancy so I have a feeling that it's likely that I'll be about a size smaller when all is said and done. The only things that I still have from that size are from when I was like 19 or 20 and I'm not sure they will be appropriate for a 26 year old mother. I am looking forward to being able to buy some new clothes!
I didn't get rid of many clothes during my pregnancy. I do go through every year or so and get rid of stuff that doesn't fit or hasn't been worn and donate it. I would hold onto to stuff until after baby comes, maybe those clothes will be motivation to get back in shape and if you decide not to wear them you can get rid of them. It would stink if you got rid of stuff thinking it wouldn't fit and regreted it later on.

One of my projects this week has been to clean out my closet and get rid of things I don't think I'll wear for at least the next year. Pre-pregnancy, I wore a lot of form-fitting clothes. At 7 weeks, I'm already feeling bigger. In addition to not being sure if I'll get back my super-slim figure, I'm wondering if my tastes and style will change once I have the baby.
Has anyone else gotten rid of pre-pregnancy clothes during pregnancy? If so, did you regret it? If not, do you wish you had? Also for moms, did you find that your style changed once you became a mom?
