Hello Bees! I had my wedding back in September. It was held outdoors at this beautiful guest ranch in the desert. I wore ivory satin wedges…Needless to say, they got a little dirty from kicking up all that dust!
Does anyone have a recommendation on how to clean satin shoes? I looked online, and people said you can take them to a dry cleaner. I’m intrigued by this, if also a tiny bit hesitant…I don’t want to ruin the shoes’ integrity. Has anyone ever taken their satin shoes to the dry cleaner? Does it get the satin pretty clean?
Do you have a way to clean them at home without the satin getting all splotchy from any water/chemicals?
Any advice helps! Thanks!

I cleaned my satin shoes last year using steralising tablets. The kind you use to steralise babies bottles. I put the tablet under cold water until it fizzed and then rubbed over the stained areas of my shoes. (ivory satin) I rinsed them carefully with cold water and allowed to airdry. They came out like new.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to clean the shoes, and I don’t know why I’m so nervous about ruining them. They’re just shoes!
