(Closed) Cleaning your dress?

You could always clean just the tie, but unless i’ts VERY dingy, it won’t even be noticeable in photographs. I could tell my tie on my gown had been handled a bit (it was a sample dress after all) but you totally can’t tell in photos and i’m pretty sure it was only something I would notice

Wow, your alterations person should have cleaned their hands first! If you think it’s dirty enough to bother you, take it to a good drycleaner and ask their opinion. Most will know ways to clean the dress without causing any damage. Considering this is the only time you’ll get to wear your dress, you want to get it right!
