Why do you want to clear your colon? It usually does a pretty good job of moving things along without doing a cleanse.
I did a 20 day juice cleanse- all the fresh fruit and veggie juice I wanted. I wasn't hungry, I was energized, I slept better and woke up before my alarm, and my skin looked AMAZING. I can enthusiastically recommend that.
I did a 10 day juice cleanse and felt amazing. After the first 3 days I wasnt hungry, but the first two days are a bitch. lol Just make sure you drink plenty of water and have a large variety of juices!
I highly suggest green juices, and a "bloody cucumber" 1 small beet and 1-2 cucumbers... It's so good and refreshing, just peel the beet first otherwise it's a bit bitter.
Eating clean and exercising is the best "cleanse" there is. Make it a lifestyle, not a x-number-of-days-cleanse.
@AB Bride: I just feel like I need to cleanse. Its just a feeling. I feel heavy!
@abbyful: You are so right!
@abbyful: I agree with this. Being healthy and clean should be a lifestyle choice.
Doing a juice fast quarterly is REALLY great at cleansing!.. and if I recall correctly fasting 2+ days every few months can add years to your life.
I agree with abbyful!
And besides, sometimes those cleanses can have bad consequences depending on how long they go for and if they are not done properly. Dehydration, malnutrition. Besides, it also gets rid of the good bacteria that live in your colon that help it stay healthy. (I am only familiar with one type of cleanse though, I have never looked into those juice ones people are talking about)
@amnystik: what exactly do you mean by a juice fast? There are so many types of "juice fasts"
@FiFiKib: yeah and I heard they can make you break out and do weird things to your skin. You could get boils or if you ever had a wort they could come back.....
@daniellewantstohelp: I would look into the different kinds but it's a just where you would fast everything but juice. DH's roomate (before we got married) would do one quarterly. I never got too into it though b/c I wasn't really interested at the time, and well now I'm preggers so it would be awhile before I did any kind of fast (which I usually do 1 a year)
I swear by the Blueprint cleanse. I've done it a bunch of times, and really makes me feel rejuvenated and cleaned out. For me caffeine withdraw and day 2 are the worst parts!
If it's too pricy or they don't deliver to you, you can get the same juices at a place like liquiteria or even press/make the juice yourself.
Here are the guides for when/which drinks to drink and the recipes.

Sorry if redundant.
Friends of mine have done a "lemonade" cleanse where they juice a fresh lemon, add a bit of maple syrup and add a dash of cayanne pepper. They felt lots better afterward.
I've used Yogi Detox Tea. It worked well for a couple of years. I'd cleanse for a week or so then not again for 6mos. to a year. I'd lose 3-5 lbs. and felt great. I was pretty energetic but I didn't sleep well though. Then, it completely stopped working for me. I've tried it a couple of times since and NOTHING. Now, I think it may have mucked things up internally. I want to say I did not use it according to directions though. I'd use 2 teabags and brew a really strong quart or so on the stove in the morning and drink it throughout the day with a lot of water. I did this for a week or so. The directions say you can use 1 teabag per cup and it was safe to use for up to a month. I did it my way because I'm cheap and I knew I could get more than one cup of tea from one teabag.
@daniellewantstohelp: I tried the Raw Cleanse from Garden of Life and did not make it into Day 2. I apparently did not drink enough water before and during Day 1, so I was severly dehydrated. Since then I've been drinking green smoothies for breakfast (great recipes by the Raw Foods Witch here) and taking Probiotics. My skin loves me and I feel great!

I would like to do a cleanse that is going to clear my colon. I dont want to do the master cleanse because I heard it can really be difficult on your body. Do you think if I just ate only fruits and vegetables for a few days I could clear my colon?
Anyone have any recommendations?
