Cleanses- Suggestions?

    I am thinking of trying a body cleanse to help clear the post Christmas "sludge" I am sure I accumulated with all my crappy eating over the past 2 weeks. 

    I have never done one before so I have no idea what a cleanse will do to me and how I will react.  I certainly don't want to be glued to the toilet for a week or something to that effect.

    Has anyone used one they reccommend?

    Thoughts on cleanses overall?  Is there a safe cleanse, something natural?

    It DEFINITELY has made me go to the bathroom a ton, but it's more peeing than anything (sorry if that's TMI!). You also need to drink a LOT of water, so it really flushes out your system. I've noticed it really is helping with my belly bloat after the holidays, plus it wasn't super pricey (I think I paid about $20 at the health food store?). It makes you more "regular", but you def aren't glued to the toilet :P

    @sara_tiara: Thanks!  Good to know.  I eat a lot of fibre, but still struggle with "regular", so that wouldn't be a bad thing!

    How do you feel, have you noticed a difference at all in your energy?

    @Take The Reins: My energy is GREAT! But I also adopted a much cleaner diet in the past week (no sugar and wheat), so that is also probably part of it....not sure how much is attributed to the cleanse.

    All the walking to the bathroom is GREAT cardio though! :P

    @sara_tiara: HA HA no doubt, extra exercise.

    I have a clean eating diet plan from my personal trainer, which made a huge difference in my overall energy and well being when I was dilligent on it, and it totally zapped my food cravings for sugar and carbs.  I just completely jumped ship over Christmas, once I got rolling it was chaos.  Pretty sure I packed on 10 lbs in 2 weeks :(  But I am home now, and focusing on it, but I feel absolutely gross.  SO hopefully I can clean up with the diet, and maybe a boost with a cleanse.
