Did anyone have any luck with it? I read some of the old threads, but couldn’t find anything more recent than 7 months ago. Is there one that you found to work better? Do I really need the starter kit? Any insight is helpful and welcome 🙂 THANKS!

@ANewMrs: I bought it the month I ended up getting pregnant. You have to start soon after AF so I wasn’t sure if I would need it and luckily I didn’t and could return it. It had awesome reviews on amazon though.

I got KU my third cycle using it, Darling Husband was out of town on my fertile days during the first cycle so really it was our second cycle of trying. It’s the easiest thing to use, there’s no guesswork, no charting, no temperature taking, nothing. When you wake up in the morning you POAS and snap it into the monitor and wait for its response. You’re supposed to get high days and peak days, I actually never got high days, I guess my estrogen surge and LH surge happened on the same day. If you have regular cycles you should use 10 sticks a month so if you purchase the regular package it’ll last you 3 months. You start testing on day 6 of your first cycle and as it gets to know your cycles it’ll adjust to fit your schedule. I had 32 day cycles so I used more sticks.
You don’t need the start kit, the only difference is the pregnancy tests. From weddingbee I learned clearblue easy doesn’t have a high accuracy rate with pregnancy tests so I used the monitor and bought FRER’s instead.
My best friend’s SIL actually bought the monitor first, she got KU using it within a few cycles, my best friend got KU using it for 2 cycles, another of her friends got KU using it on her first cycle and then me. I highly recommend it.

I have been using it since June 2012 and am still NOT KU. However I agree with PP about the convienence and lack of guess work. I hated comparing OPK lines looking for a positive. When you’ve been using it for as long as I have, the cost of the sticks gets pretty high. I have heard lots of great things about it, I guess I just haven’t been that lucky.
