I wish I could help :( Have you tried asking other tent companies if they know of a place to rent them? Maybe someone could order them for you?
I would worry that it would get really hot under one of these during daylight hours. White top tents would reflect the sun, but a clear top I would think would be like a greenhouse...
It is on a lake (= nice breeze) and would be in the evening, so I think the heat would be okay. I also considered having half the tent clear and half white, or just having two tents...
I contacted a company from Fort Wayne IN, but I'm really hoping to find something closer (mileage will really add on to the cost.)
Thanks for trying to help! Clear tents seem to be gaining popularity, so maybe by next August, there will be more companies in the area offering them.
@Pwitty: How did your search go? Were you able to find the clear tents closer?
I havent been able to find anything closer, but (to be honest) school started and I havent been spending as many hours looking at/for wedding stuff online :(

@Pwitty - I just wanted to second the heat thing! Speaking from personal experience you can expect a clear top tent to be about a gazillion times hotter than outside! The wedding I went to with it had it set up to follow a 6:00 ceremony. It was in September, and OMG I thought everyone was going to die! It was about 80 degree's outside and about 104 degrees inside. I'm not exaggerating that! The B&G failed to have any kind of air conditioner or fan going thinking it would be cooler inside, it wasn't. Even after the sun went down it was bad. Just thought I'd give the heads up!

We will be having an outdoor, lakeside reception and will be having a large rented tent in case of rain. I recently found out about clear top tents (do a quick search of google images if you haven't heard of them/seen them). I'm in love with this idea because our reception will go well into the night and I was disappointed to think that most of our reception will be shielded from the beautiful view of the moon & stars (especially the dance floor!). I've spent some time looking around online, but the closest rental place with clear top tents seems to be in Fort Wayne IN. Does anyone know of a closer rental company with clear top tents?
