Recently married, 35 y.o., and just beginning to think about TTC. I just purchased this fertility monitor. Would something like this indicate if didn’t ovulate, or if had any sort of fertility issues? I know this is probably a dumb question. I obviously don’t know much about this stuff yet. Thanks.

@shrinkgirl: This should probably be moved to the TTC boards, the girls over there are full of great information for TTC. I’d start by downloading the fertility friend app, tracking your cycle, taking your basal body temp & reading taking charge of your fertility. I never used a fertility monitor (just did the above). GL to you!

@shrinkgirl: I used the fertility monitor and it did show that I was having issues. Not that it says “you didnt ovulate”, but you wont get a clear “it’s happening now” indication. I found for me I had to use the Wondfro cheap ovulation strips so I could monitor how dark the lines were day by day. My body is kinda meesed up in that I dont incrimentally go from light to dark. My body jumps around.
However, for most people it does work the way it’s supposed to. I would also recommend taking your temp every morning to really get a good idea about your body.
Good Luck and Baby dust!

I have one, and I’m not sure it alone will be enough to diagnose if something were a little off. Like, it’ll probably show if your levels don’t get to quite where they need to be, but even that’s a nuanced guess. But if your body is mostly doing what it’s supposed to do, I think it’s a big help.
I got it because I was 36 when we decided to start TTC, and I didn’t want to be too patient about letting things happen totally naturally. I definitely charted like a champ, monitored CM, and used the cheap Wondfo OPK strips in addition to using the CBE fertility monitor.
This is totally coincidence, but….it took us three cycles to get pregnant. First one, I didn’t have the fertility monitor. Second one, I had it but misread how to read the screen every morning. By the third month, I understood how it actually worked…and I’m now a week away from my due date.

@glimmeringone: Congrats!! I’m 35, just married and anxious about being able to conceive. Just wondering, how did you misread the screen? I just started using the monitor yesterday…would love to avoid any mistakes. Thanks!
