I am getting married on 11-26-11 and we are having trouble finding a venue. My fiance is Jewish and I am Catholic, so we are having an officiant do there ceremony. We would like to incorporate both Jewish and Catholic traditions into the ceremony. I am having a hard time imagining myself walking down the aisle in a hotel or party center, does anyone have any other ideas? Or, if you have gotten married in a hotel or party- how did it work out? Thanks!

Hillbrook in Chagrin Falls, Walden in Aurora, there is a historic house at Lakeland but I can’t remember the name of it, Glidden House, the old courthouse, Severance Hall, Josephat Arts Hall, Stan Hywet hall in Akron. One of my co-workers got married at the Crawford Auto Museum and it worked out great. Landerhaven and Manakiki have ceremony spaces but the indoor options may be “party hall-ish”. I would also call all the country clubs. Fortunately there are a lot of historic type of places in CLE!
I am getting married at Barrington in Aurora. I have NOT been happy with them so while it is a beautiful location, it is dysfunctional in many ways and I can’t recommend it. I also don’t recommend the Powerhouse in the Flats. My cousin got married there. It was great for the reception, but it didn’t work well for the ceremony.

My reception is taking place at the Elyria Country Club. They do allow weddings onsite and they have beautiful grounds.

@SoonToBeCollins29:Have you looked at Park Lane Villa for the ceremony? I had a friend get married there. It was beautiful and not too expensive.

Hillbrook in Cleveland is gorgeous. There is also the Cleveland Botanical Garden, and The Cleveland Metroparks, I think that the history museum and the art museum do weddings too. Severance is another option, as is Windows on the River downtown. I also looked at weddings at the apple farm – can’t remember what it’s called right now…one of the bigger ones.
Those were all options that I looked into. Hope that helps a little!
