And after I posted this the related post thing came up and someone just asked this question....My apologies!!!!!
A Blurb book of engagement pictures? Something offbeat like a guitar? An album of your first dance song (if it's retro)? A serving platter? A quilt? SO many cool ideas!
I wish we had done a photobook of baby pictures of us and pictures from birth to the present and then had people write their well-wishes in it. That would have been an awesome first family album that we would definitely show our kids someday. I guess hindsight is 20-20.
We did the wish tree thing but without crystals or beautiful votives hanging and kept it much simpler. I created the dove shape/layout and had rippedsheets.com punch it for me on bone colored heavy paper. I punched them out, tied brown ribbon (my colors were brown and ivory) and placed them in a bird's nest of moss at the base. It was at the entrance to the chapel and was moved to the escort card table after the ceremony so it did double duty and people had plenty of time to sign. Most people used it more like a guest book and just signed their names but some people wrote well wishes. I think it was one of my favorite decorative pieces. We're going to do a Quaker marriage certificate (Miss Powder Puff talked about them here) and have that double as our guest "book".

I rarely have any good ideas so I was hoping you could help me.
To those of you that are married: Do you ever look at it again or does it just sit in a bookcase somewhere?
To those of you that are soon to be: What are you doing for a guest book?
I'm not sure I want to do a traditional guestbook and I was hoping someone could give me a good idea to use instead of a book.
