I use Clinique and really like the concealer, foundation, and powder I have.  I typically get the free gift when it’s out which has other samples like eye shadow.  I like everything I’ve tried.  I have not tried bare escentuals.

@jessyrez:  I like Clinique.. I used to love one of their foundations but they changed the formula.. Haven’t tried new one yet.. Their powder is good.. I never tried bare escentuals, so I can’t compare.. I did try some other mineral makeup from another brand and didn’t like it.

I have to say Clinique CC cream is amazing.  Covers and corrects color (which I guess is why it’s called “CC” cream 😉

@jessyrez:  I am currently using the balanced powder but I have also used the blended face (depends on which consultant I get when I go).

@jessyrez:  I can’t speak for anything else, but Bare Escentuals’ eye shadows are way better than Clinique’s.

I hate Clinique. I used to use it a lot because my mom used it when I was growing up, but I think their products are crap. I like bare minerals better, especially eye shadow, but their face products/powder make me greasy. There are tons of brands–head to sephora and test away!

Ha ha! Tiebreaker here!! I have used both (Clinique for more than 10 years) and I really like bare minerals better. The foundation I use is my exact skin tone and I feel like the bare minerals lasts a lot longer. Which is good for me cause I’m a once and done kinda MU wearer.

I’ve used both, for at least a year each. For foundation/powder, I prefer Clinique. Bare Minerals was fine, but more time-consuming and messy than I’d like. Clinique is less fuss and feels better. I’ve tried liquid, compact powder, and loose powder from Clinique, and liked all of them (the compact powder is the quickest, though, so I prefer it at the moment).

I do love my Bare Escentuals eyeshadow and eyeliner, though.

I will add, I have friends who love BM, however, none of them have “problem skin” in that they don’t have dry, oily or combination skin. My friends with dry skin have complained about BM that it looks patchy. I have really oily skin and BM kind of sits on top of my skin and makes my pores even more visibile, more oily looking and it does NOT last at all.

Personally I would go to Sephora or Macys, get some samples and wear it for the whole day, and see how it works out. I think it really depends on your skin.

I use Bare Escentuals foundation, mineral veil, blush and bronzer. I love all of them! I like how they recently came out with the compact version of some of their products because they are less messy than the loose minerals. I have oily skin and feel like they work with my skin very well. I have never liked any of the Clinique products that I have tried. It’s been years since I’ve bought their products and I can’t remember what they’re called. Their skin care line didn’t do anything for me either. My friend bought me a Clinique pallette last year that included eye shadows and blush and I felt like they weren’t pigmented enough and were not long lasting.
