@MissLunchbox:  Thats good to hear! My FI and I have been trying for 11 cycles. I’m so nervous to see a fertility doctor. I feel like we’ll be instantly judged or not taken seriously because of our age. (20 & 23). Are you in the US or Canada?

@MissLunchbox:  That is so true! I have a feeling fertility doctors are sparse here. I’ll check it out if we havnt conceived before the new year 🙂 Good luck and FX for you!

Sounds exactly like what my RE did (except we didn’t do prometrium or a trigger). Started a new cycle with Provera, baseline U/s, Clomid 100mg days 3-7, follow up u/s to confirm O which happened CD16 (I also had crazy cycles up to 100 days, so this in itself was a miracle!) and BFP 14 days later, first cycle!!! We are due in 3 weeks!

I’m so glad they got you started right away and have a plan in the works – nothing more frustrating than doctors not caring and telling you that you’re fine/not to worry etc.

Good luck, please keep us posted! 🙂 🙂 🙂

@Brittanyg20:  Hey hun, whereabouts in Canada are you? I actualyl thought fertility specilists were few and far between.. there are actually a TON of them! Depends where you live, of course. I’m in Ontario and there were 2 clinics right across the street from each other, 15 mins from my house. Both took doctor and self referrals. Don’t give up! If you have any questions feel free to PM me. They will take you seriously, regardless of your age – especially if you are approaching the 1 year TTC mark without success.

@StaceyA:  I’m in Alberta 🙂 I did a quick Google search the other day and only found 1 and it’s downtown, by referral only.. Which sucks cause I only go to a walk in clinic and don’t have a family doctor anymore… I moved here 2 years ago (from another city in alberta).. I’m kind of concerned anyways and may bring up our issues ttc the next time I go to the doctor anyways.

It looks like I’ll be joining you. I went two years with zero periods and this year have only had two, widely separated. I’m so frustrated and emotional right now. It doesn’t help that like five people have just announced pregnancies around me. I never wanted to use fertility meds but after speaking to my drs office I made an appointment to discuss options and will probably use clomid. I don’t know how to feel. I’m excited to finally have a real chance but disappointed that I couldn’t do it the normal way.
