I used to put tape, cut small stripes to follow the shoes shape, people never notice ;)
Can you post a pic of them so we can look and see if we have some other creative ideas....
I would try the tape thing though. see how long it will last, put it on right before you walk and then not worry about it at the reception.
what about super duper double sticky tape and putting felt on the end of the heel portion? it'd be muffled. Or, rubber ends. You could glue/tape the gel part of a Dr. Scholls or whatever. Then you wouldnm't slide like you would with fabric.
I wear these clear slip-on straps with shoes that don't stay on my feet for dancing:

You can see them a bit, but they definitely will keep your shoes on.

I bought the cutest satin mules. But they make that clopping sound when I walk. Are there any tricks to prevent that? Stick double sided tape to the bottom of my feet?? Super glue? Any help is appreciated.
