@Mz Izzie: Girl, you need to get your yourself one of the necklaces here. Hahah.

I’ve never lost/near lost mine (it always goes in the same place if it’s off) even though I may not wear it sometimes and then have 1/2 second panic when I feel my naked finger. I did, however, pick up a ring in a truckstop in Canada while we were on choir tour. It belonged to a girl I knew from school, who was across the food court freaking out!! She was one lucky girl that day!

This is not a very flattering story, but I’ll share.

When Darling Husband and I were engaged, he lost his job 2 months before the wedding. It was very stressful and put a strain on us. A week later he had an interview for a job. The interview was quite far away, and since I was off that day he asked me if I wanted to do the drive with him. There was a mall close by so I figured I would shop while he was on his interview.  After an hour and a half drive, he realizes that the interview is actually the following day.

I lost it. I mean it was exorcist style. I started screaming about him wasting money when he wasn’t making any, and how he was so irresponsible, and maybe I didn’t want to marry him anyway. I then took my ring off and threw it. We were driving in the car. He had his window open. It bounced off of his thigh and right out the window.

It was a very busy 4 lane main drag. He pulled the car over and started searching for it in traffic. Watching him out there, really put things in perspective. He eventually found it and it was perfectly fine, not crushed by a tire or anything. He didn’t give it back to me for 2 days, and I deserved it.
