What does that mean exactly? When a thread is closed for review, is there a chance it might be reopened? Because I’ve never seen that happen. What are you reviewing? Why not just say you’re closing the thread and leave it at that?

I assume it would be the flags for the snarky people.

Eh. From what I can tell it looks like all the recent threads that have been closed were started by a woman who called another Bee fat & frumpy in her wedding gown – so other people piled into the threads that she started & made rude comments back about her wedding choices
Yay internet 😛

When the number of flags on a thread exceeds the volume that our volunteer moderation team is available to handle at that moment, and the moderation team determines that content on one or more threads contains multiple issues that need to be addressed in a manner that can’t be accomplished in live-time, the thread will be removed from the site until adequate moderation of the thread can occur. When a thread is removed from the site, a closed thread with an identical topic name to the original topic (“placeholder thread”) will be posted publicly to the boards, with a note from admin that the thread has been taken down off the site for review and will return when adequate moderation of the flagged posts has occurred.
The thread may return either as an open or closed thread, depending on whether the discussion has stayed on course of its intended/original topic or not. Any new threads generated for the sole purpose of discussing the moderated thread that has been pulled down for review will be closed and/or removed, with a reference to the the “placeholder thread” added before closure/removal.”
