I found the most amazing stuff. It's called Dotto and can be found at michaels or AC moore. you roll it on and it sticks but you can still open without damaging anything. its great stuff!
I'm putting a ribbon around mine and then putting some cardstock where it overlaps that will serve as my inner envelope and have the names of those invited on it. This way, guests can just slide the ribbon off and nothing has to go on the pocket fold itself.
I used Removable Glue Dots - you can find them at craft stores - they seemed to work pretty well!
Will Dotto work for mailing the envelopment without an outer envelope?
And when the Dotto or removable glue dots are applied, can you see it? I went to AC Moore today and saw this stuff, but couldn't tell if it would be a white strip, tiny blue dots (Dotto) or would it be clear? Thanks!!
I'm making a belly band, which is actually a strip of left over paper, and then sealing that around with a2x2 square monogram on a seperate sheet of paper:
The Dotto I got was clear on the tape and clear on the application. Nearly invisible, unless you look close and you will see tiny dots - and I had dark red paper. If you have lighter colored paper, i'm sure you wouldnt be able to see it at all. Hope that helps!
The glue dots are clear, but they're kind of big, so whoever opens the envelopment will see this dot of glue when they open it (it reminds me of the stuff they put on the back of credit cards when you get them in the mail). If that's a problem then probably the Dotto is better...
Thanks for the info!! There were some other off brands there too, but I have made the mistake in the past of trying to save a few bucks and regretting it. Haha. I will be sticking with the recommendations!

I have a client whom I made a set of invitations for using envelopments. We want to close them with something that will keep them closed, but allow them to be opened without damaging the envelopment. Has anyone out there done this and what kind of glue or other stuff did you use?
Thanks in Advance!
