I have the BG, elemental ones that you're talking about. I love them. I know it's a lot to spend on one diaper, but I figured since I won't have to keep buying more as she grows bigger it'll save some money. And it's worth it to me not to have to sort and put together the diapers each time I do laundry, which is every other day. Really, it's hard enough to do the laundry every other day and then throw them back in the diaper basket under the changing table. I couldn't imagine having to stuff inserts in there too. But I guess it just depends on your priorities... and mine is lazyness.
If you have any questions about them I'm happy to answer.
If my husband's gonna help with diapers, it'll be the lazy route. Also, if I explain that by getting the snap, natural fiber diapers we'll be able to use them with multiple kids, cloth diapers will seem more appealing.
That was a big reason we went this these diapers. My hubby was a little iffy when I mentioned cloth, so I knew I'd have to find the easiest of all easy. But these are great, very easy.
Another con though is they're very bulky. I don't mind the cute bulky tush on her, but packing an all day diaper bag is pretty insane. It's huge. And since they're all in one they take a long time to dry. All this being said, I would still buy them again in a heart beat.
I know a lot of people like the BG elementals, but I've also seen lots of posts where people are saying that the cotton has quickly gotten holes in them. I had a couple and they took forever to dry to the point that they got mildew under the soaker. If you continually dry them in the dryer they won't last as long. Snaps are great too but they can sometimes make it hard to get a good fit compared to velcro.
BG is coming out with freestyle in December which is an AIO. It might be worth checking out. I've also heard good things about Nana Bottoms. I also love my ragababes which have aplix, not snaps, but their velcro really can't be beat. Grovia AIOs are another to check out along with swaddlebees simplex. Another smaller WAHM company that makes AIOs that people love is Chelory.
In case you want to try them out, www.cottonbabies.com has a seconds sale going on right now. They have the bumgenius elementals on sale for $17 and they always have free shipping. I have been wanting to try them but didn't want to pay full price since some people love them and some people hate them. Better hurry, they won't last long. Also, I have never been able to find what is wrong with my seconds. They have great quality control!
I'm also planning to buy the all in one Freetime diapers by Bum Genius when it comes out next month. It seems to have everything I want in a cloth diaper

I'm looking for all-in-one, one-size snap diapers made with natural materials (don't care if organic, but I gather natural ones last longer.) Thus far, I've only found one at $25 a diaper. Anyone else have some input?
