I’m definitely a cloth diaper addict. My LO has a ton of cloth diapers and he isn’t even born yet! Here are some pics of our stash:

I don’t have kids but if I did I would use cloth diapers. Right now, I use cloth pads for my cycles. I will NEVER go back! You might also want to consider cloth wipes for your baby. You can find them on etsy for pretty affordable!

Cloth diapers are SO addictive!  I need to take an updated picture of our diaper/changing table but it’s so packed with cloth diapers and liners now.

We started with a stash of 25 AIO Pocket Rumparooz (pics below of the patterns!) Then I purchased a few Alvas online and a custom Rainbow Brite from Etsy. Then I won a Bum Genius one from a contest. I’m always looking at them but DH keeps saying we have enough LOL

@As_You_Wish:  Is it bad that I recognize a lot of those diapers, and we’re not even PG yet? (I might have a small obsession with researching cloth diapers….)

I know you haven’t actually had the chance to “field test” them yet, as it were, but how are you liking the Assunta stuff compared to others?  From what I’ve seen, they look like fantastic quality for the price.

@iloverocks:  I will definitely be using cloth wipes. I bought some from a lady who makes them for really cheap otherwise I would have just used wash cloths or cut up extra receiving blankets.

@Lyndzo:  I love that Rainbow Brite diaper! The Rumparooz are cute too. I’d never heard of that brand before you mentioned it.

@SadieBee:  The Assunta covers seem like they are amazing quality. All but one of the ones I have are minky on the outside and are super soft. I also like that the legs have double gussets to catch baby poops.

@FloridaGatorBride:  My mom used cloth diapers and I will too! 🙂 She used them because she couldn’t afford the other ones.

@FloridaGatorBride:

@As_You_Wish:

I have a couple random CD questions if you guys don’t mind…

The CD’s in the picture are just covers right, and under that you would put a prefold? Is that it?   I’ve also seen the all in one diapers, which seems to be the only thing you would need? Are you guys not using those because they are more expensive or for a different reason?

I’m leaning towards CD but I’m still a little confused about the whole thing.

@As_You_Wish:  It seems to be really popular in the US but not in Canada.  They don’t even ship to Canada and only have a few retailers that carry them. Luckily I was on a family trip to Sudbury for Thanksgiving and one of their retailers is in Sudbury. It was perfect timing.

It’s quite an expensive brand too, even the resale on second hand ones. I had done some research on the top rated cloth diapers and Rumparooz and Bum Genius came up for 2012.

From CD’ing groups I’ve heard so many great things about FuzziBuns and Apple Cheeks too. Even the Alvas, they are cheap but they still do a good job. I couldn’t resist getting a couple of girly prints on ebay.

@CoCoCourtney:  The ones in my pictures are all-in-ones. They are the whole sha-bang (LOL) they have a pocket inside the diaper with a liner inside.  If the baby is a heavy wetter there is enough room to add a second liner.

I chose all-in-one because of the simplicity and how close to the ease of a disposable it is 🙂
