So it somehow skipped my attention that my flowergirls would need shoes/stockings to wear the day of the wedding. I was made aware of my lapse when my brother called me asking what shoes he needed to buy for his daughter.
My dilemna – Flowergirls (3) and ring bearess (? – ring bearer is a girl), are wearing tutu dresses. I’m not really sure what shoes would really go with that type of outfit. So, for all you bees who had flowergirls garbed in tutus, how did you pull the outfits together?
For reference, here’s what the tutu’s will look like:

White ballet slippers? When I was a flowergirl, my dress was white, with a pink sash. We wore pink stockings (they were hot) and white ballet slippers, which I already had.
I don’t think stockings are necessary. If all the girls have white sandals, that would be fine. They don’t have to match and the dress looks long, so they won’t be obvious, anyway.

How old are they? If they don’t need tons of ankle support, I’d say just some ballet flats or Mary Janes. With the big skirt, their shoes won’t really be visible anyways.

@HonoraryNerd: They are 2, 3 (2 of the girls), and 5

@PABride: I was thinking sandals since the wedding will be in may. I thought about small heeled Mary Janes, but I can imagine my five year loudly stating how much her feet hurt.

@Orchidgirl80: I would do something like this- for toddlers I would add an elastic strap across the forefoot
or white sandals
I would definitely not do a little heel. They look silly on toddlers. Kids grow up fast enough without putting them in heels.

I think sandals for the two little girls, and see how the parents feel about low-heeled MJs for the 5 year old! I bet she would love to wear “big girl heels”!
If their dresses aren’t fully lined, you might want to let the parents pick stockings/pants/leggings for underneath, to avoid the tulle itching/scratching!

@julies1949: Thanks for the ideas.
@BrandNewBride: Lol, I’m the parent of the five year old and I know she would love the heels…for a bit then she would start complaining.
They have a lot of dress up play heels, so I may just see how those look and save everyone some $. But thank you all for your help and ideas. This helps me when I get stuck.
