I wanted peonies too.  They are expensive and you can only get them in early spring (and still, they will be pricey).  I’m doing garden roses…and also ranunculus.  Here are my “dream” bouquets.

@upstatebroad:  I think both are available year-round.  My wedding is September and the florist said they were both available.  She said the ranunculus wouldn’t be very expensive at all, the garden roses, a little bit expensive.  She said neither would even come close to the price of peonies though.

Hydrangea would look really nice in a “big and fluffy and gorgeous and full” bouquet!  And if you love lilies, you should use lilies!

My bouquet for my July wedding had lilies, roses, and hydrangea.

you’re a few weeks too late for peonies unfortunately!

ranunculus and hydrangeas are both in season and not too expensive. hydrangeas are great because you need so few stems!
