This is just my two cents on clutches for wedding’s in general. They’re useless. You will be too busy to carry it around, and have too much stuff you might need for touch up’s that day to carry with you and hide in a bridal suite or room, to fit into a clutch.

@cantwaittobemrsf: I kind of agree with @MsJ2theZ: it will be something else to think about and as you’ll have your bouquet to carry I worry it may look too much.

I just had a tote bag with me to fit things like, my sandals for later, make up, hair spray, all those little things you might need and will want to bring. When I wanted to touch up (and actually rememberd to) I went back to the room real fast and threw on some lipstick.

I wore blue lace I DO undies as my something blue. I got them as a gift so it worked.

You could still get yourself a BLUE tote or something? But I always thought a something blue was something you actually have with you during your ceremony. I mean I probably had any number of random blue things with me that day 😉

I doubt you’ll be wanting to carry a clutch around. Between your bouquet, your new husband, and everyone hugging you it will just get in the way. I just kept a regular bag in the bridal suite and ran back if I needed anything.

@cantwaittobemrsf:  Oh well that’s perfect! Then yeah if you want to have a blue bag for your goodies, get a cute blue tote. Keep your stuff in different pouches or zip locks, i.e. emergency kit type stuff, make up, maybe even one with just your basics for touch ups, etc… It will make it easier to find things fast so you can get back out and have fun!

@cantwaittobemrsf:  It depends on the situation I suppose. If you’re ging from hair/make up to the venue, etc etc you’ll have stuff with you. I have NEVER been in a wedding where the entire party didn’t have a bag of some sort with all their crap in it. The day of is hectic and there’s a lot of location changing. It’s not like you can really stop by somewhere and drop everything off.

I would stick everything you might ever possibly need into a backpack, and give it to the best man. He can carry it/defend it/make sure it’s there and available to you after the ceremony!

I had a colorful clutch!  I mostly left it at my table so I don’t have any pro pictures of it though.  I had it handmade on etsy in some of our wedding colors, in silk.  Pops of color are fun 🙂

i guess i’m in the minority.

i used a clutch on my wedding day. it was one of my “something old’s.” i just kept a compact, lipstick, and some bandaids in it- that’s all i really needed. and i didn’t carry it around with me all day, it stayed on my chair (since i hardly spent any time actually sitting there). i also didn’t carry my bouquet around all day either- it served as the centerpiece for our table.
