I am on CD 17 and so far I have not had any CM. Well this morning I noticed that it is starting to appear. It looks probably what would be categorized as creamy (sorry TMI). After you experience this type of CM how many days does it usually take you until get CM EW? Since I do not have a set cycle length and I am trying to read as many cues as possible to find out when ovulation might occur.

I am charting and using OPK's. No sign of ovulation on either to date.

There is no 'set' time per se. It's very different for different people. In fact, it can be very different for the SAME person over several months!

Take me for example, when I am working out, the CM cycle is totally different and virtually non-existent. I don't see any. ORRR I will see a very watery one.

When I am not working out, I will get CM a week before my period. But sometimes not until a few DAYS before my period.

    It's just so.............. weird.

After 17 chartings, I would think that you would know already? I started charting too but gave up after 3 or 4 mths. My CM is/was ALL over the charts. lol!

@Sasha2011- I though I was just confused since this is the 1st month charting. It would be so nice if there was a ryme or reason to this ;)

How long are your cycles typically? You might not get EWCM until later. Definitely keep OPK'ing to see when you do have the surge before ovulation. Also, what's your typical pattern for CM? I get EWCM soon after my period, stays there throughout the fertile period, and then dries up.

@carrieknitscake- Since I have been off the pill I had two cycles at 31 days and then one at 52. So that is why I started charting. I never recorded CM before so I don't know my pattern.

@roxy821: Hmm, my cycles are pretty consistent, so that's how I knew when my CM changed. I would just note what you see on toliet paper and go from there.
