Can anyone suggest someone cool and affordable to play at my cocktail hour in June?I'm looking for jazz duo or guitarist.

Hey! I was also looking for a jazz trio, but AFFORDABLE didn't fit into the equation...since you have to pay multiple musicians, most prices I found started around $500 -- and many were about $800 (for the HOUR!). We're most likely having our DJ play jazzy music (because hey, we're paying for the DJ for all five hours, may as well use him, you know?).

Christopher Dunn was a great guitarist (played our ceremony and cocktail hour) and very affordable.

Thanks Candycorn. I saw him listed in your fabulous wedding recap :). Did you have to cover his travel from DC? That was my only concern.

nope! he had a flat fee of $375 for ceremonies, which included 30 mins of music before the ceremony (prelude) as people arrive and are seated. also, processional and recessional music as people leave the ceremony. we opted to have him play the cocktail hour as well, so i think it was $450 total for everything, but totally worth it :) he was excellent at stalling when i forgot the hub's ring hahah.<span style="font-size: 10pt">
