Ah! I love that man!! Lol, but I can respect that...! ;) Of the choices I recognize from your list, it sounds great. I love cocktail hour at receptions no matter whats playing anyways...
This looks great, and the blend of genres is really similar to what we'll have at our reception (cocktail hour will be a bit different in style)!

Where we're really struggling is with the dance music. We both hate current pop and the boy doesn't like 80's music, so it'll probably be mostly Motown. Which I'm okay with, but I'm hoping to talk him into some 80's so that our guests will be happy.
@danadelphia:Thanks for these ideas. I'm stealing some ;) and some inspired some other great song ideas too. I think my dinner music playlist is almost complete. We have the same problem with particular music tastes. We are doing a lot of motown (we live basically in Detroit so it's particularly fitting) and some really funny 90's pop mixed with a lot of other random stuff too. We have ONE current pop song.
Looks great! We're still trying to come up with a few more dinner songs, so I might borrow some of yours :-)
@sloth: Great playlist. I'm getting married this May too and just booked my DJ and starting to make a plylist. I ran into yours and think it's a great mix of new stuff and old stuff. Obviously very personal cause your song selections aren't very mainstream, which I think is great.
Just curious, has your playlist changed since you made this playlist almost a year ago? If so, please share! I love discovering new music/covers.
Very cool, especially track #1. I love Kings of Convenience. I've gotta say, though, there will definitely be some Buble played at my wedding. ;)

I figured I'd share some songs that we want to play during cocktail hour and dinner. It's mostly happy, slow-to-mid tempo stuff. What do you think?
