You said hard liquor is prohibited…what about wine? Champagne cocktails?

Are you serving appetizers? People could be snacking and chatting while you’re doing pictures, and after that you can transition to the reception/dinner.

Yea, I am wondering if you could still serve appetizers or maybe just beer & wine during the cocktail hour.  If it’s outside, maybe have yard games like crochet, cornhole, ladder golf, etc.

Our hometown reception site (we are having a destination wedding and then a reception at home for everyone) doesnt allow hard liquor either, so we will be doing beer, wine/champagne, and then fun sodas (the old fashioned kind in glass bottles that are fun colors). Between apps and drinks, people will be entertained enough to wait till you get there.

We gave people snacks to keep them from being starving while we were taking our pictures.
