My honey and I haven't set a date yet, as we are in the pre-engagement stage, but it definitely is tough. I'm counting on a lot of family support to help keep me organized and sane! I honestly think the best part of having a longer engagement like my boyfriend and I will have is that we can plan in the summer and on breaks and focus on school during the year.
We got married and DH is finishing up his last semester. He's only taking 12 credits, but he also works part time. It's not terrible for us, actually! It's like he works a full time job in terms of his schedule.
The only thing that sometimes interferes is when he has exams or papers to write and stays up late/can't go out. But, honestly, that would happen with a regular job too.
So, I don't mind it! I'm glad we don't have to go years and years still, but it wasn't bad for a little while.
We got married the summer after we graduated. I was student teaching in the spring and thought I was absolutely insane for thinking I could [sanely] handle everything on my own. I very clearly remember sitting in a very bare apartment nust a couple days before graduation stamping envelopes for our invites.
It wasn't always easy because, obviously, school came first. Once summer hit I could dedicate all my time to planning [and I did]. Try and get done what you can when you can really focus on it and not worry about all the other things going on [tests, exams, papers, etc]
I'm getting married the day after graduation! Crazy crazy crazy stress!
I'm getting married 4 days after my semester ends--two weeks from today. This semester has been really crazy! I'm SO glad it's almost over.
We are getting married while we are still in college but during the summer between our Junior and senior years.
FI and I are both still in college. We are getting married next summer, between our junior and senior years : )
Hey bees! I'm a junior in college and my FI is a sophomore.... (I'm 20 he's 19 now)
I'm at Vanderbilt and after our first year apart (his senior year of high school) he decided to move here to be with me...
we got engaged after my freshman year here of college!!
but he hated his school here so even tho were engaged he's in AZ and I'm here :/ but we're totally dealing with it and our relationship is still strong!
We're getting married at the end of this year (before my senior year...)
I'm very excited but I'm not gonna lie some people will look down on you, think you're too young to get married, think you don't know how to start a life together or know anything about love.... it's bull... :( just because other people are too young to commit!!!
JUNIOR IN COLLEGE AND GETTING MARRIED BY MARCH NEXT YEAR! HOPEFULLY!! & my fiance is in pharmacy school, his first year!
some people think we're crazy! i think we're crazy too! :D in a good way!
so im doing an undergraduate degree in behavioural science, certificate III in child care, and work in a cafe on weekends
my fiance works fulltime for the state government and does his undergraduate degree parttime weekday nights
all i can say is- thank goodness for the university (im australian, so its 'university' over here) holidays! we've been booking these like crazy before uni starts again. we had the church, reception place, dress, stationary, bridesmaids dresses etc done in the first two weeks!
My fiancee and I are both in college, with him working on a biology degree with a pre-med concentration and I in photography. We go to colleges in different cities (read: I only see him on the weekends because he lives at school through the week). Also, our wedding is in May. We're both extremely busy, but we have a wonderful relationship so I really haven't had a huge problem and I don't feel our relationship has suffered at all.
My FH and I are 19 and I attend a college that is 3 hours away from home. FH is at home finishing up some classes. We plan to have a 2 year engagement, so it gives us plenty of time to do DIY decorations! My best friend (who is my roommate) plans to help me with all this. FH knows I like to do the little detailed stuff that are found in weddings, so that's when my best friend comes in to help me! But at the same time, FH wants to help with the big stuff (venue, cake, music, etc.). We plan to do that kind of stuff when we are both home for winter, spring, and summer break. We hope this works out real well for us!

Hello hive!
I was just wondering how many brides (or grooms) out there are still in college? It seems as though Mr. Whoopsie and I are the only ones out of our friends still in school and getting married!
How are you balancing the stress of school, the craziness of wedding planning, and still having time to see each other?
