I am struggling with wedding colors and centerpieces. I've been thinking about plum, black, and lime green. Would those colors work for an early August wedding?

Also, any ideas for centerpieces? I am a teacher and thought about incorporating green apples. What do you think?

I like the idea of using apples, I think that would look great!

Those colors sound great.  I think the apples to bring in the green is a good idea.  Do you like the idea of chalkboards.  I would suggest the website The Perfect Palette.  The author of the blog, puts together inspiration boards based on colors people send in.  I am sure you can find your colors there.  This link will take you to one that I found with plum, sage, and silver as the colors.  Try not to stress to much.

I think those colors sound pretty together. And using apples is a great idea. I'm thinking of using lemons in my decor.

I'm thinking of using curly willow and attaching orchids to it. Instead of a vase (which is where most of the $$ would be spent) i'm thinking of using styrofoam blocks covered with foiled paper. idk though.. i'm making a mock arrangement to see if i like it..

OOh- I did lime green also and I found a very cool centerpiece idea that was a big hit!

I chose to use lime fruit slices, since I used this more as an accent color.  Buying the fruit in bulk at Costco, Winco, or Walmart was helpful in saving money, and it also creates a unique, bold look for your wedding!  here is a How-To guide on making these centerpieces, and a picture of my wedding centerpiece!  Good luck!
