    Hello Bees!

I have been having THEE toughest time deciding on a color for my bridesmaid dresses - I am in love with the color purple and wanted some sort of an eggplant/plum color.  But I've come to the realization that a LOT of people have that color and I don't think many of my bridesmaids like it...if any.

So I am going with dulce de leche and I need HELP deciding coordinating colors.  I've always been bad at matching my entire life (I've read all the posts on this board that talk about color - and love the Flickr website - but it is like Latin to me) and I think my MOH is annoyed with my hourly questions - so I thought I'd ask all of you for what you think would go good with it?  My dress is champagne with gold threading.

Here is the dress color, not the dress I'm going with:  http://www.watters.com/product.php?coll=wtoo&style=442

I'm sorry I can't attach a picture, the website won't let me save one.  Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I was originally going to have my colors be copper, champagne, and sage green before I went with a spring wedding, so that's a suggestion I'd offer. Green bouquets with your BMs coppery dresses would look really pretty!

I think champagne would look amazing with that color!

Do you think any dark or deep colors would look good with it?  If so, what ones?

My mother wore a dulce de leche satin skirt from Watters as part of her not-too-MOB-looking outfit for Sister Bruschetta's wedding!  It's SO pretty!

Black looks great with it, and really makes the copper pop.  For brights, I'd suggest jewel tones -- I LOVE the idea of using them for autumn: Royal purple, cerulean, jade green, deep marroon or magenta...

I agree with dannyb417, champagne would be beautiful.  Maybe champagne/cream and orange flowers (orchids) with ivy greenery.

I think the other warm mettalics would work well with that color (the golds, champagnes, etc...)... I also think a blue (if done the right shade) could look nice.  Miss Mascara's blue envelopes for her STDs looked really nice with the copper(ish) colored embossing on the side. It also looks like Watters paired your dress color with a "mocha" colored sash as one of their choices.

And, I think greens and other jewel tones(as said above) could work quite well too.

Thank you for the ideas!  I'm finally getting more excited for this color! :-)  It's funny b/c of this website, I want fun shoes for the wedding!  So I was getting disappointed that I wouldn't have fun colored shoes because of the dress color.  And by "fun" I mean purple! :)

I think with a fall wedding, you could easily go with rich orange/maroon colors...maybe with champagne ribbon on the BM bouquets to tie in w/ your dress
