nope, not at all! Lots of people have brown as a main or accent color of their wedding, and have black suits.
Besides, by the time the wedding rolls around, people aren't likely to remember or compare the color of your invitations with the color of the suits
Where else are you planning to have brown accents?
Not at all!
You don't have to keep the invite consistant with the colour scheme if you don't want to! And you can still have brown accents with Black suits!
Go for it!
My bouquet was going to be wrapped in brown silk but that's just going to change to white. Other than that I hadn't really started planning the wedding since it was set for next december.
Plan on!!! You'll be find, others above have said it well... easy to incorporate brown if you want to... Black is like a background color, no color at all really!
My colors are espresso, ivory, and kiwi and our groomsmen are wearing black tuxes with brown vests and ivory ties and the groom is wearing black tux with all ivory (vest and tie) so you'll be fine - we weren't sure what we were going to do either as my bms are wearing espresso dresses!! but we walked into Men's Warehouse and the tux on display right up front is the one we went with - it was black with the dark brown vest!
GL!

Well my date just got changed from 12/18/2010 to 01/02/2010! So I am in a time crunch but I'm sure things will all work out.
My issue is that my colors were chocolate brown and emerald green but my FI just spring that he wants to wear a BLACK and not brown suit!
Would it look odd to have invites with brown accents since my FI, bestman, and maid of honor will be wearing black?
