ok I have a slight dilema, I am in the midst of planning a November 29th, 2014 wedding in Upstate NY. My SO and I picked this date because I originally wanted a fall wedding and he wanted a winter and this was sort of perfect for us because it could go either way. Considering where we live it could be a complete blizzard or it could be 60+ degrees outside.
I am having a very hard time picking what colors I would like to use. Our venue is a very rustic location.
Although our wedding will be between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I do NOT want a Christmas themed wedding and I have debated on even having a “Winter Wonderland” theme although that is not completely out of the question. I actually don’t really want a theme, per say but I keep tossing around different color pallets and just cannot think of what colors would work best for the venue and the time of year.
I do not have any colors that I dislike greatly and would never use.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

@OutdoorLover: Looking at the photo and given that one of you is inspired by Fall, and the other by Winter, what about doing Champagne/Gold with Cranberry/Burgundy? You could even add touches of ivory and/or brown. And from another bee KiraB

@OutdoorLover: I took the liberty of doing a Google Image Search for your venue. There are a few pics showing different chairs on their website. Do you know which chairs they will be using for your wedding? Normally I tell brides not to worry about the chairs, but given that you have not chosen your colors, you have a chance to incorporate the chairs if need be.

@julies1949: I had never thought about the chairs but they actually are maroon/burgandy colored fabric with gold trim. It makes me re-think now. Maybe I should go with the red/maroon color. The problem was I really wanted to stay in the brown family or colors that go with brown.
Do you think burgandy would work then?
