Early, yes, but I had to ask....I was wondering if anyone here has a tentative color scheme. My SO and I were shopping yesterday and I asked him about my favorite color scheme, Black, white and apple green. He HATES it and prefers pale yellow and white. He also suggested some type of gold and I almost fell out.

We might have a hard time choosing colors, but the pale yellow and white are about the closest we will get to agreeing.LOL

    Anyone else discussed this yet?

We actually have discussed this actually! I have sky blue, brown and a pale yellow all over my room and it looks pretty amazing...I asked Teddy what he thought of having those colors as the wedding colors and he actually loved the idea! Its not too girly but if done right can def be very classy. Im surprised your SO likes yellow and white better! Those seem softer then the colors you picked out...although i do like your idea better! I say dont completely give up on your colors...maybe you can compromise and add the pale yellow along with yoru colors?

Those do sound pretty! I never thought of those together, since I've only seen tourquise(mispelled most likely) and brown together.

I'm not going to give up, although I've been trying since summer with these colors. I want black and white definately and maybe add the pale yellow in? He was definate about NO canary yellow.LOL He just hates the apple green and I have no idea why. Maybe because I said Granny Smith apples as centerpieces would be nice.LOL

I also like the peacock theme AND they have peacock ornaments at Pier one which would be a good accent and would be on sale after Christmas...thinking ahead!

I want deep purple and bright yellow, aka aubergine and marigold.  I'm thinking about adding a third color to make it look less LA Lakers-ish but I'm not sure what.  Maybe emerald green?

Mr. Km just doesn't care. And if we could get married tomorrow, I wouldn't care either! But yeah, color scheme is something I've given alot of thought to, because it changes with whatever venue I think I'd like! If it's one venue it's a, b, and c but if its this OTHER totally different venue, it's 1, 2, and 3. So really I can't even choose colors, because it changes with the venue!

Abergold- That sounds really pretty! Like a winter wedding, at least to me.

MsTeddy- I showed him. He still doesn't like it. LOL. We're going to have a time with this. I'm going to look at different inspiration boards with black, white and yellow, so we can each have what we like. There is no way gold is going anywhere near my wedding.

KMsull- I wish he didn't care, then I could pick what I like! And it does change with the venue! I've looked at beaches, which wouldn't go with the apple green/black/white, but the scheme he likes would, but the garden place I looked at would. It's tiring!LOL

Oh I so totally get that! The gothic mansion I looked at wouldn't have the same colors as the horse farm, which wouldn't have the same colors as the vineyard... so many options and yet I don't LOVE any of them!

I'm not too fussed about the colors. I won't talk about that stuff with MinMan until after e-day, but I expect that he won't care too much either. Right now I'm looking at a mix of cool colors and metallic neutrals...gold accents mixed in with yellow, tan, green, blue, and a touch of purple. So a pretty spring-based palette.

I like the color palletes you've all posted. Too bad the inspiration photos didn't convince him, MMB!

We're doing navy blue and kelly green. He likes it, but it relatively indifferent. I think he's just happy it's not a sparkles, butterflies, and bows theme. I suggested it early on (like 2 mos into our 3.5 yr engagement), and he was ok!

Definitely pink, (a medium pink - not baby pink, not fuschia,) brown and I threw in navy blue as an accent to make BF happy.  I think it will look nice :)

KMsull- You sound like me with the venues! I've looked at everything, including a trolley station. The one I love is out of our price range and comfort spending level.lol

Minutiae- I like spring colors also, even though I want a fall wedding.LOL yeah, I'll figure something out. I'm quite stubborn. Smile

AlmostMrsG- Navy blue and spring green sounds pretty. I didn't tell him about trying to put bears in little away places in honor of our names yet...I might have to leave that tidbit out.LOL

waterprincess- That does sound nice. I'm not a brown fan normally, but brown and other colors for a wedding look really nice together. I

the pale yellow white and black with touches of green would be really pretty together actually...

eta i'm thinking fluffy yellow flowers with the apple green stems showing through clear glassware, i think it could be a great and fun color scheme.

tropical blue, berry purple, and platinum. We love blue and the raspberry purplish color will make it pop. We are planning on getting married august 2010 or late july so I like the bold hues for that time of year.

     Here is an example:

We combined my favorite color with his....so it'll be pink and brown. However, we're aiming for a May/June wedding and I think the colors we picked are more for a fall wedding. What do you ladies think?

I always dreamed of Black, White, and a bold kelly'ish green.  Told FI.... he hates green.  He wants blue or red.  My least favorite colors! ugh....

The venue we're about to hopefully get has lots of natural elements and trees (even though it's indoors) so I think green accents will be lost.  In that case we're doing black, white, purple accents with splashes of blue flowers for FI.

Black/white/yellow is really pretty imho.  I was tempted be that.

yup. at first i told him red and white and he was suprised i didn't want to use my favorite color, green. which in hindsight, was such a duh moment for me. so i switched it to a green apple, cobalt blue and silver as an accent color. i haven't brought up this color combo yet, at least i don't think i have. i can't remember. but i'm sure he'll go with it. those aren't necessarily "girly" colors.

I am completely 100% in love with orange and magenta... but his favorite color is purple!  I have no idea what we're doing, but I've got three years to plan anyways! :)

Yes, we've discussed it and the only disagreement... PINK.  He just doesn't agree to all the pink I want.  So, we've agreed to add a hint of blush pink.  We both agreed on Black, silver (or platinum) and copper.
