soontobebee:  Are you looking for tools to help you decide on your color scheme?

http://www.theperfectpalette.com   click on one color you like and you will see all the palettes they have developed using that color

http://www.design-seeds.com   click on palette search, then choose theme

harvest hues

or choose search by color value-play around with the tool till you get one color you love, then clcik on go get it.

Once you have chosen your color scheme, go to a paint store and get a few paint swatches in each color to carry with you or share with anyone who needs to know e.g if your BM’s are choosing their own dress or shoes.

soontobebee:  Start with one color.Often that just happens to be the color that you visualize your BM’s wearing. The rest of the palette is usually seen in smaller amounts.

soontobebee:  I originally picked garnet and gold, but since I am getting married in spring, I chose red, gold, and ivory. I always knew I wanted red so I just needed some other colors to fit in. I actually went to Home Depot and picked out paint swatches – they have a variety of colors that “match” if you need any ideas 🙂

I chose teal (my favorite color), and FI chose lime green (I have no real idea why, as that’s not his favorite color, lol). To go with that, we chose to have accents be in ivory, with some browns and some greys to balance out the bright colors against our very outdoorsy natural setting. I also went and got paint swatches to better see what the colors would do with each other.

So, I am getting married October 2015 in Florida. I don’t have a strict color scheme, more of a general, muted palate:

I know I want: Blush, champagne, a “dusty rose,” and gold, but I also want to add tan, taupe, bronze/copper, mauve, etc.
